Responsible for development of drivetrain according to on-board diagnosis requirements at BMW Brilliance

Key Responsibilities

Project work:- Responsible for validation of on board diagnostic monitoring functions in alignment with CoC at BMW AG- Escalation on imminent target-conflicts within scope of work- Document results for scope of work in respective IT systems (JIRA/Confluence)- Responsible for planning of generic OBD project milestones, necessary test events and usage of prototype cars to reach validation targets for on board diagnostics / emission validation - Participation on test trips in China for on board diagnostics/emission validation - Carry over of lesson learned from previous accomplished projects and specific issue solving process

Function development- Design and implementation of powertrain functions necessary for the fulfillment of Chinese regulations and local market- Testing of function modules on powertrain control units at HiL and in vehicle- Further develop regulation specific powertrain functions to fulfill the homologation requirements- Collect and feedback specific requirements for future vehicle projects- Steer change proposals for function modifications, and align the associated advantages, side-effects, and other impacts with the corresponding upstream function developers at BMW or BBA

Calibration and Validation:- Calibrate vehicle control system functions according to project requirements and targets- Steer change proposals for calibration changes, and align the associated advantages, side-effects, and other impacts with the corresponding upstream calibration engineers at BMW or BBA- Failure analysis with component and function development team until bug-fix confirmation- Support preparation of vehicles to fulfill testing requirements- Establishing and documentation of test/calibration process for on board diagnostics with CoC in Munich. -Responsible for direct/indirect import of new/changed calibration labels into official label data base of BMW AG in Munich - Responsible for data quality, consistency, plausibility and data-variant management according to the legal homologation process

Failure Analysis: - Analyze powertrain problems on development, production and series vehicles- Solve problems according to root cause analysis- Responsible for root cause analysis and problem solving of on-board diagnostic/emission related issues on development cars



Qualifications

? Bachelor, Master or PhD degree in electrical engineering, electrical power engineering, mechanical engineering, software engineering or related majors

? Languages skills: Chinese, English business fluent and preferably good German knowledge

? Good knowledge in Microsoft office

? Very good communication skills and customer orientation

? Analytic understanding for legal requirement and their technical integration

? Functional understanding for on board diagnostic functions

? Self-responsible and reliable working attitude and initiative

? Analytic and structured working method, also during work under pressure

? Strong project management and planning skills

? Ability to enforce her or his own position

? Knowledge in measurement and CAN communication tools (INCA, CANalyzer,…)

? Willingness to frequent travelling inside China and extended trips to Munich (approx. 4 to 12 weeks in total each year)

? Excitement for new energy vehicles and testing operations

? Knowledge about measurement analysis tools (Concerto) and development methodology of conventional powertrains

? Working experience as engineer in automotive functional integration, on board diagnosis, software development, function development, E/E integration, product validation or calibration 4-6 Years

? Working experience in the automotive development for powertrain or vehicle electronics 1-3 Years

? Working experiences with control unit, bus communication and vehicle functional structure 1-3 Years

? Optional working experience with combustion engine emission related systems like catalyst, oxygen sensors, air flow sensors, thermal sensors, camshaft valves control system, turbo charger, injector, tank evaporation system 1-3 Years
