Support BMW AG Purchasing in all Global Sourcing China activities
Major Responsibilities
- Market screening of the Chinese automotive supplier market.
- Compilation and translation (Chinese to English) of all relevant documents.
- Follow up the RFQ process regarding schedule and quality of the proposals.
- Maintain responsible the supplier database (Establishment and maintenance).
- Contacting suppliers.
- Organisation of supplier visits.
- Back office Management.
- Daily correspondence, with supplier and BMW Group.
- Filing of correspondence and supplier related documents.
- Planning and organizing business trips according schedule.
- Contact supplier, import the latest supplier data in the database.
- Preparing and performing supplier surveys.
- Update the database according the BMW EM-processes.
- Organize the database with the analysis application for cost down potentials.
- Organize the schedule for the different RFQ activities.
Qualifications
- University degree in electrical / mechanical / automotive engineering or comparable educational background, economics background.
- Ability to work in a team, good communication skills
- Chinese not mandatory, intensive knowledge about local mentality and conventions
- Chinese and English fluent; knowledge of German is an advantage
- User of software like MS-Office, Windows etc Willingness to travel
- Experience in automotive industry, purchasing, sales or quality. (at leat 1 years)
